Sandra with one of her framed watercolours, a running raccoon

While I was an an outdoor concert in a local park, I spotted this raccoon racing away from the raised stage just after the band had started their warm up. The poor creature must have been sleeping peacefully under the stage, until it was woken by a screeching violin, blaring trombone, and other instruments.
Luckily I was standing in the shade of several large trees, and the raccoon headed right towards them - so I had the chance to get some fantastic close-up photos of a running raccoon, to paint from.

The art show to which I'm submitting this painting requested a photo of the artist holding their framed artwork, which is why this photo looks rather 'posed'. I prefer to be standing beside my artwork, once it's on the wall of a gallery or other exhibition space, rather than holding it in this way... As you can imagine, it's rather difficult to hold anything in my right hand while I'm wearing my dynamic splint, so in this photo I'm holding the frame entirely in my left hand - and hoping not to drop it!
