Standing to the left of my two floral watercolour paintings, at the juried "Bloom" exhibition of the Women's Art Society of Montreal (WASM), during the Vernissage at the Galerie BOA Gallery in Old Montréal, 12 Aug 2024.
This year marked the 130th anniversary of the WASM, one of Canada's historic art organizations, which was created at a time when women weren't permitted to join art societies; we're now fully inclusive, but have opted to keep the name as a reflection of our history.
